A PBC either: a) holds Native Title on trust, or b) acts as an agent for the Native Title holders, ensuring decisions about Country follow cultural authority.
They manage: a) ILUAs, b) mining and exploration agreements c) heritage surveys d) development proposals (future acts) to protect Native Title rights and community interests.
PBCs may also support: a) language programsinterests. b) cultural mapping c) on-Country activities d) community and governance development
PBCs speak and act for Traditional Owners in matters involving access, land management, caring for Country, and protecting important places.
Working with Traditional Owners to preserve and manage sacred sites, songlines, and ultural knowledge, ensuring these continue to be respected, protected, and passed on to future generations.
PBCs act as the authorised body that overnment, companies, and researchers must engage with when proposing work on Native Title land.

The Kultju (Aboriginal Corporation) is the voice and guardian of the Kultju Common Law Holders.
